Maintenance Manager - North Europe (H/F)

The Maintenance Manager (North Europe) is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and reliability of automated parcel sorting machines within a portfolio of 20+ sites across North Europe, mainly in France. This hybrid role involves remote management, regular site visits, subcontractor coordination, budget management, and adherence to preventive maintenance schedules. The incumbent will supervise a team of part-time maintenance personnel, negotiate contracts with subcontractors, manage spare parts inventory, and ensure high standards of equipment performance.

Ensure Availability of Automated Systems: Oversee the operational efficiency and availability of automated parcel sorting machines within the 20+ designated sites.

Manage Subcontractors: Set and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for subcontractors, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with service level agreements.

Spare Parts Management: Maintain inventory and procurement of spare parts to support maintenance activities and minimize downtime.

Supervise Maintenance Personnel: Indirectly manage a team of part-time maintenance staff per depot, providing guidance and support as needed.

Preventive Maintenance: Ensure adherence to preventive maintenance schedules and implement measures to prevent breakdowns across all sites.

Utilize Computer Tools: Proficiently use MS Office, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Augmented Reality (AR) glasses, Predictive maintenance, and other technology tools to streamline maintenance operations.

Technical Support: Provide technical assistance remotely during night shifts and guide on-site personnel to resolve issues promptly, every 3 weeks (astreinte)

Zero Breakdown Target: Strive to achieve a "zero breakdown" target for each site by implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles and continuous improvement initiatives.

Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to assess equipment performance, provide on-site support, and ensure compliance with maintenance standards.

Assist in Automation Setup: Collaborate with the engineering team to assist in the setup and commissioning of automated systems at new sites.

•Bachelor's degree in Maintenance or a related field, or proven valuable experience.

•Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably within the logistics or parcel delivery industry.

•Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage contracts exceeding €500k annually.

•Proficiency in using computer tools and familiarity with CMMS, and Office.

•Technical expertise in parcel sorting machines, diverters, Automated Mobile Robots (AMRs), and cross belts.

•Technical expertise in belt conveyors, pneumatic and electric.

•Excellent communication skills in both English (basic) and French (fluent).

•Willingness to travel regularly within France and North Europe region.

•Basic understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles is desirable.

•Valid driver's license and willingness to travel with a company car.
