Buyer (Raw Materials )

Requirements: Grade 12 / Matric Tertiary Certificate / Diploma in Purchasing Previous MRP (Syspro) experience - advantageous 3-5 years production buying experience in FMCG or CPG environment 3-5 years knowledge of stock control Excellent planning experience Attention to detail with excellent problem solving skills Creative, out of the box thinker Good Mathematical / Numerical skills Proficient in Excel Able to work independently Key Responsibilities: Planning, preparing and placing purchases for equipment, services, and supplies to meet the companies production scheduled dates and to ensure material arrives JIT Daily expediting of orders and keep the factory apprised of delays Reviewing material requirements on a weekly/monthly basis Internal liaison with the Manufacturing Manager to ensure flawless production flow Order best product or service that have the lowest price after reviewing and analyzing all options Managing inventory levels to ensure capital is not tied up in raw material General / Ad hoc assistance to the Procurement Manager Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted
