Job Summary The Enterprise Architect (EA) provides leadership, stewardship, and analysis in efforts to assist the business and Information Systems department in making technology and infrastructure decisions that will enable growth and support of current and future strategic initiatives. Through lifecycle planning and road mapping this individual will be responsible for developing the application & infrastructure portfolios and for assuring these portfolios deliver the capabilities necessary to support Giant Eagle's business needs. The EA will be required to support integrated business and information systems development as well as innovative approaches to technology which support business requirements. Job Description Partner with IT stakeholders in building and implementing a robust, scalable, and agile Enterprise Architecture to support the foundation of Giant Eagle's future. Partner with internal delivery partners to support deliveries for Enterprise Data Management, BI & Enterprise Data Platform and Analytics and Data Science. Engaging early and often throughout lifecycle of delivery needs Ensure solutions meet stability concerns for ongoing performance, maintenance and support. Adhere to agreed Demand Management and Program/Project Management to ensure work delivery alignment to strategic imperatives. Managing, planning and preventing capacity challenges across team resources – managing to high quality deliveries on time, on budget and in full quality stance. Anticipate and ensure alignment with long term business requirements, ensuring identified change is reflected in the appropriate roadmaps, providing thought leadership in all areas of applied Information Technology, both internally and externally. Facilitate and steward the synchronization of the various business, application, and technology roadmaps with appropriate IT and business stakeholders, including change as described in application strategies, Life Cycle Plans, and business initiatives. Minimize the number of architectural components and total cost of ownership while maintaining a maximum of functional flexibility, reliability, and security. Must be able to balance the role of strategist with urgency, while simultaneously managing and delivering results in a growing and fast paced environment. Develop, upskill, organize and coach internal existing talent to fulfill the DnA Strategy and delivery needs while creating a highly motivating work environment Act as a role model for service mentality, builds up long-term relationships with key internal customers and stakeholders is receptive to the customer's needs, and actively manages the balance between costs and services. Facilitate and steward the documenting of the architecture design and analysis work, including the capture and mapping of the relationships between architecture components. Assist in executing governance and process improvement activities. Must be able to quickly understand the culture, business issues, and technology requirements, and be able to give unvarnished recommendations as to what is best for the organization. Required/Preferred Bachelors degree / Master degree Minimum 12 years’ experience across a variety of functional disciplines in developing solutions that include Data Architecture, Data Quality, MDM, enabling BI Semantic layer – with awareness of impactful Data Architecture designs for propelling BI & Analytics. A high level of deep cross-functional business experience with Data architecture solutions and delivery Business Process Centric Data Architecture – enabling efficiency Data processes and performant, easy to use solutions Data & Master Data Management depth of knowledge Data Quality practice that enables - Business intelligence & Design thinking Cross Domain of Functional & Master Data knowledge Data Architecture Management & Modeling: Analytical and Operational Data Architecture designs & management – including Taxonomy & Hierarchy capabilities Data Analysis, Querying Information & Data Architecture and modeling Process & Data Governance, including workflow design Compliance, Privacy and regulatory data knowledge About the Company Since our founding in 1931, Giant Eagle, Inc. has evolved into one of the top 40 largest private corporations in the U.
