Employer Description Producer that specializes in the procurement, feedlotting, slaughter, packing, processing, and distribution of meat products. Job Description Your duties will encompass: Participate and influence department strategy. Monitor and track against the plan. Develop recommendations and subsequent action plans to enable the delivery of the departmental strategy. Day to day interaction with team members to deliver strategy. Build and develop effective relationships with relevant stakeholders to highlight and determine best solution to overcome challenges to continuously improve. Contribute to delivering strategic plans with suppliers by liaising regularly on trend changes and tactical forecasting. Conduct stock build plans considering capacity raw materials supply etc. Understand and optimize supply chain and systems. Understand internal and external factors which impact on demand and ensure these are reflected in forecasts. Communicate with internal and external stakeholder to maximize efficiencies. Track and Manage Plans and escalate supply shorts. Issuing daily plans/schedules for all production units. Resource Shift/ Labor planning. Manage space in warehouses in line with plans and manage redundant and obsolete stock. Manage relationships with suppliers. Provide daily/weekly/monthly forecasts with supplier. Purchase order management and ensure accurate order placement on all aspects. Manage supplier contracts. Conduct price negotiations with suppliers. Report on materials shortages with root cause and corrective action. Drive cost saving initiatives in line with departments strategies. Analysis of historical and current performance. Qualifications BCom in Supply Chain Skills 2 years operational supply chain experience. Sales and Operations Planning C Financial or Economic Background. Statistical Demand and Forecasting Techniques. Strong Mathematical and Statistical Skills. Project Management. Salary / Package R20 000 - R23 000 CTC
