Job Description

The primary purpose of the position is to operate one or more motor vehicles, which typically have an approximate gross vehicle weight of not more than 10,000 pounds.

Job Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) Ability to Drive Safely (Motor Vehicles) Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (related to mobile equipment operation) Ability To Operate Safely (Non-Motor Vehicle) Operation of Motor Vehicles Work Practices (including keeping things neat, clean, and in order) SCREEN OUT: Experience that demonstrates the ability to perform work as a motor vehicle operator and assisting journey-level, or other higher graded workers; my experience included work such as operating gasoline or diesel-powered motor vehicles, the use of motor vehicles of a gross vehicle weight up to 10,000 pounds to transport material to and from the work site; operating pickup trucks, panel trucks, flatbed trucks, carryalls, sedans, crew pickup trucks, jeeps, and station wagons of a gross vehicle weight up to 10,000 pounds. Experience in the construction, repair and upkeep of wildlife boundary fences, as well as in equipment and building maintenance and trail and road repair projects. Been a crew leader and directed lower-level co-workers (laborers) in performing their duties. Work is spot-checked by supervisor and evaluated for quality and neatness. SCREEN OUT: This position requires that the incumbent possess a Driver's License. If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.
