Travel Nurse Job Details Location: Wilmington, North Carolina (28401) – North Carolina healthcare jobs Setting: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Contract Type: Travel RN contract Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: November 24, 2025 End Date: February 23, 2026 Shifts: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (06:45 - 19:15) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1490-$1530 Patient Ratios: 1:2 Call Requirement: Once every four weeks Float Requirement: May float to surgical short stay unit for overflow Weekend Requirement: Varies PACU RN Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent PACU and ICU nursing experience required Travel nurse experience required Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state (must be in hand at start) Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Experience with Phase 1 and Phase 2 PACU recovery Skilled in caring for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations Epic charting experience preferred Preferred: Charge Nurse experience, conscious sedation, telemetry, vents, pediatric experience, ICU background prior to PACU PACU Nurse Responsibilities Provide observation and clinical care for patients recovering from surgical procedures requiring anesthesia Receive patients directly from OR, EP Lab, Endo, IR, MRI, and ICU Manage and upgrade care for ICU-level patients in PACU as needed Utilize specialized equipment: cardiac monitors, arterial lines, ICP monitoring, dopplers, fetal heart monitors, EKOS, SCD pumps, wound vacs Document patient care using EPIC and other healthcare systems Float to surgical short stay unit for overflow patients as required Participate in Storm Team/Hurricane Team response during catastrophic events or disasters Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response Adhere to fatigue policy: no more than 5 days in a row or 60 hours per week Complete comprehensive orientation tailored to your nursing experience and skill level Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
