Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Orthotic Fitter. The Orthotic Fitter will be responsible for evaluating, fitting, and adjusting orthotic devices for patients, ensuring proper fit and comfort. Other responsibilities include educating patients on the use and maintenance of orthotic devices, collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans, and keeping accurate patient records. Key Responsibilities: Measure, fit, and adjust orthopedic braces, supports, and other related medical devices for patients under physician orders. Educate patients and caregivers on the use, care, and expected outcomes of orthotic devices. Ensure proper documentation of all fittings, patient interactions, and product dispensation in compliance with billing, insurance, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Medicare, HIPAA). Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case managers to ensure continuity of care and proper device selection. Participate in ongoing training and certification as required. Ensure all equipment is dispensed in accordance with company and industry standards for safety and functionality. Provide excellent customer service and build trust with patients and referring providers. Qualifications: High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in a health-related field preferred. Certified Orthotic Fitter (COF) credential from an ABC or BOC accredited program. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
