Job Opportunity: Estimator | Up to £60,000 Location: Crystal Palace, London Sector: Social Housing & Public Sector Refurbishment Company Type: Medium-Sized Refurbishment Contractor We are working with a well-regarded medium-sized refurbishment contractor based in Crystal Palace that delivers a wide range of projects across the social housing and public sectors. With a strong pipeline of work and long-standing client relationships, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to support their pre-construction and tendering activity. The Role: As Estimator, you will play a key role in pricing and preparing competitive tenders for refurbishment works across: Social housing (planned maintenance, internal/external upgrades, voids) Public buildings (schools, libraries, community centres, civic buildings) You’ll be working on multiple schemes concurrently, typically ranging in value from £250k to £5m. Key Responsibilities: Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for refurbishment projects Interpreting drawings, specifications, and tender documents Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes Producing tender submissions in collaboration with commercial and operational teams Ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining accuracy and compliance About You: Previous experience as an Estimator within refurbishment or construction Strong background in social housing and/or public sector works Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail Able to manage workload effectively and work both independently and as part of a team What’s On Offer: Salary up to £60,000 (depending on experience) Supportive team environment with clear career progression opportunities Stable contractor with strong client relationships and a solid reputation Interested?
