Contracts Manager Location: East London (Projects across London & the Southeast) Sector: Main Contractor – Leisure, Education, Retail, Healthcare, Housing Salary: Up to £90,000 (DOE) Car Allowance Package About the Company Our client is a well-established main contractor with over 15 years of success delivering high-quality construction projects across London and the Southeast. Specialising in both new build and refurbishment, they operate across a range of sectors including leisure, education, retail, healthcare, and housing. Projects typically range in value from £500,000 to £25 million, with several exceeding that figure. Notable past projects include social housing regeneration schemes, GP surgeries, leisure centres, and commercial fit-outs. The Role Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, the company is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager. You’ll oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery while maintaining the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage multiple projects across London and the Southeast * Oversee site teams and ensure effective project delivery from pre-construction to handover * Monitor programmes, costs, and quality benchmarks * Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers * Ensure health & safety compliance and performance reporting * Provide input into strategic planning, staffing, and logistics Requirements * Proven track record as a Contracts Manager working for a main contractor * Experience in both refurbishment and new build schemes * Sector experience in education, healthcare, leisure, housing, and/or retail is desirable * Strong commercial understanding and contract administration skills * Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills * Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects valued up to £25m Desirable * Degree or relevant qualification in Construction Management or related field * SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), First Aid What’s on Offer * Salary up to £90,000 (depending on experience) * Car allowance and comprehensive benefits package * Long-term pipeline of secured work * Diverse and exciting project portfolio * Supportive company culture with opportunities for career development
