On behalf of our client, a leading manufacturer of marine propulsion systems, TQR are seeking a Sales Engineer to join a growing commercial team. The Role This is a varied and rewarding position that blends technical understanding with commercial drive. You’ll be responsible for managing customer enquiries, preparing quotations, and developing long-term relationships with clients across the marine industry. While the role is primarily office-based, you’ll also attend trade exhibitions, visit customers, and occasionally travel overseas. Key Responsibilities * Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline, from enquiry to close * Prepare technical quotations tailored to customer requirements * Deliver exceptional customer service and aftersales support * Collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams * Represent the company at industry events and exhibitions What We’re Looking For * A background in technical or engineering sales, ideally within the marine sector * Strong communication and relationship-building skills * A proactive, self-starting approach with a hunger to succeed * Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail * IT literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel) * Full UK driving licence What’s On Offer * Competitive salary based on experience * 5 weeks’ annual leave bank holidays * Company pension scheme * Group bonus/profit-sharing scheme * On-site parking * Sponsored staff canteen This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys the thrill of the chase, thrives on variety, and wants to make a real impact in a growing business.
