What You'll Do:Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, specifications, schematics, and operational/product manuals;Evaluating plans, customer requests, code, and non-conformance issues to determine specific solutions and recommendations for customers and management;Preparing stock materials for daily execution of assigned work orders and optimizing material utilization;Supporting take off's and preparing proposals/quotations as required;Completing daily reports of completed work orders and activities;Ensuring safe work practices are followed safety leadership is demonstrated in all aspects of the job;Mentoring other team members including trainees and field service labour; andParticipating in 24/7 on-call/call out emergency service. Overtime and overnight travel will be required; therefore, hours of work/schedule will vary. Qualifications:A candidate with a minimum of 2 years' field experience across various industries and a diploma in a mechanical trade would be preferred. Fire service certifications and/or suppression training would be considered an asset. Combinations of education in a related field and experience will be considered. NOTE: Candidates who advance through the hiring process will be required to submit a current Certificate of Conduct and Driver's abstract.
