Data Governance Engineer

Social network you want to login/join with: You will be responsible for scaling, automation, and optimizing HBX data governance policies and processes across the entire data lifecycle. This role is a key contributor to delivering and successfully executing the Data Governance Roadmap. You will be actively involved in creating the company's data quality foundations by developing and delivering technical solutions related to: Data Governance & Management policies as code Automatic Data Observability and Quality metrics implementation Effective Metadata Management & Data Catalogue Automation of Data Policies and Procedures Automation of Data Security processes and controls Responsibilities: Reporting to the Head of Data Governance Office, this role will be responsible for: Designing and implementing automatic Data Governance policies and procedures, detecting bad practices, and preventing data quality issues across different layers of the data stack and phases of the data lifecycle Designing and implementing automatic Data Management policies , procedures, and controls (policy as code) to prevent data misuse across the organization Designing and implementing automatic Data Quality validation, metrics, and controls Designing and implementing automatic Data Observability alerts and workflows Collaborating with Data Governance Enterprise Architect to design the optimal data architecture and infrastructure for governed and quality data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources using SQL, Python, and AWS Big Data technologies Building and deploying Data Governance tools to support Data Analysts and Data Scientists in developing and optimizing products Skills Education: Master's Degree in BI & Data Analytics, Big Data Experience: Advanced Python knowledge with experience in enterprise applications and ML apps Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases Data Security management (encryption, masking, GDPR, PCI, secrets, SSO, MFA) Experience in root cause analysis and process improvement Experience in Data systems automation and administration Strong analytical skills with structured and unstructured data Technical Skills: Experience managing Cloud Data Warehouse Platforms like Snowflake Proficiency in SQL, Python, RestAPI Experience with Data Ingestion/ETL tools like Airflow, Snowpipe Knowledge of Data Transformation tools like dbt Experience with Data Management & Governance platforms like Collibra, Infosphere Knowledge of Data Visualization tools like Tableau Familiarity with Git repositories and documentation tools Soft Skills: Project Management skills (Agile, Scrum, Kanban) End-to-end process orientation Strategic thinking Data literacy and promoting data-driven culture Day-to-day activities: Managing HBX Data Platform security, user roles, and policies Implementing automated data governance policies and controls Designing data security policies to ensure compliance with regulations like GDPR Supporting data lifecycle management in line with data retention policies J-18808-Ljbffr
