This is a part-time, contract-based role ideal for a professional with hands-on experience in lean supply chain practices, supplier development, and operations improvement. The consultant will work directly with supplier leadership and internal teams to identify inefficiencies, implement best practices, and build sustainable systems to improve delivery performance, inventory accuracy, and communication across the supply chain. Key Responsibilities: Analyze current supply chain and material flow processes to identify inefficiencies, waste, and opportunities for improvement. Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies to enhance supplier performance and reliability. Support planning and scheduling improvements, lead time reduction, and inventory optimization efforts. Coach supplier staff on continuous improvement principles and supply chain best practices. Develop action plans with measurable KPIs and track progress against improvement goals. Collaborate with procurement, operations, and logistics teams to align CI efforts with customer needs. Qualifications: 5 years of experience in supply chain or manufacturing operations , with a focus on continuous improvement. Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, and Inventory Management . Experience working directly with suppliers to drive operational changes. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train and influence cross-functional teams. Fluency in English required , proficiency in Italian is a strong plus. Must be legally eligible to work in Italy or as an international contractor. Must be wiling to travel locally within Italy, travel expenses reimbursed.
