Warehouse Coordinator - Parow Industria, Cape Town - R15 000 to R20 000 Per Month depending on experience. A small dynamic company operating in Parow Industria, specializing in the importation and manufacturing of machines. The small but dedicated team of technicians works tirelessly to ensure the quality and efficiency of their products. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to join their team and play a vital role in their operations. Job Description: As a Warehouse Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse activities, ensuring smooth and efficient operations to meet our production and customer service goals. Your primary focus will be on managing the warehouse team, coordinating shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities: 1. Warehouse Management: Supervise and lead a small team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed. Plan and organize daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the warehouse facility. 2. Inventory Control: Implement and maintain inventory management systems to accurately track stock levels, including regular cycle counts and audits. Monitor inventory levels and anticipate supply needs to ensure adequate stock availability for production and customer orders. Coordinate with purchasing and production teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts. 3. Shipping and Receiving: Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including verifying incoming goods, preparing shipping documentation, and arranging transportation. Work closely with logistics partners to schedule deliveries and optimize freight costs. Ensure accurate and timely processing of all shipping and receiving transactions. 4. Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and order fulfillment. Communicate with customers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any issues or concerns. Strive to exceed customer expectations by providing prompt, professional, and personalized service. 5. Administrative Support: Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and warehouse activities using appropriate software systems. Prepare reports, invoices, and other documentation as required by management. Assist with general administrative tasks as needed to support the overall operation of the business. Qualifications: Previous experience in warehouse management or logistics coordination, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude. Proficiency in computer systems and software applications, including MS Office and inventory management software. Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team.
