Thank you for your interest in a seasonal position with Costco Wholesale in our Member Service Center. This position entails answering inbound phone calls from our members and responding to emails in a friendly and efficient manner during our holiday period. Our staff operates as the liaison between customers, vendors, buying and operations staff as well as assists callers with membership, merchandise and services provided to our members.

We are looking for candidates who have a passion to provide excellent member service, are available for a full time work schedule, and are willing to work with us during our seasonal period from September to mid-January. Seasonal job opportunities are a great way to start your career at Costco. Many of our seasonal Member Service Center agents are retained for a permanent position post-seasonal.

Our position requirements include:

• Communications - Articulates information, both verbally and in writing, in a way that can be easily understood by our members.
• Member Service – Exhibits a professional demeanor while assisting members in a prompt and effective manner. Is proactive and reacts quickly and appropriately in identifying problems, finding solutions, and making sound decisions that reflect Costco’s Code of Ethics.
• Self Motivated – Is well organized and able to prioritize and multi-task. Maintain a commitment to honesty, integrity, and high levels of efficiency and accuracy at all times, including good follow through skills.
• Team Player – Cooperates well with a variety of personalities and individuals and participates in a professional manner to accomplish the business goal.
• Problem Solver - Ability to identify and solve complex problems including problem de-escalation.
• PC Skills - Thorough understanding and comfortable maneuvering through multiple applications.

The typical hours for the positions are 5:55 am - 6:10 pm Monday – Friday and Saturday/Sunday 7:55 am - 5:05 pm. Sunday shifts pay time and a half. The starting wage is $13.00 to $13.50 per hour. All candidates must pass a typing test with a requirement of 30 wpm and possess strong PC Skills. All positions at Costco require a high level of customer service.

As a condition of employment with Costco, if you are offered employment, you will be required to undergo a criminal background and employment reference check, as well as submit to a drug test.
